Former Pitt guard Jamarius Burton will work out for the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, he confirmed to Pittsburgh Sports Now.

The workout was first reported by Bucks beat writer Jim Owczarski.

Burton, a 6-foot-4 guard, earned First Team All-ACC honors this past season, leading the Panthers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016. The graduate student scored a career-high 15.2 points per game while also grabbing 4.8 rebounds and dishing out 4.2 assists per game. Burton shot 49% from the field, including 31% from three-point range.

The Urbana-Champaign, Illinois native hit perhaps the biggest shot of his career in Pitt’s March Madness run this year, capping off a thrilling First Four game against 11-seed Mississippi State with a go-ahead two-point bucket as the clock ran down.

Burton scored 15+ points 17 different times this past season, including a 31-point outburst in Pitt’s two-point home win over North Carolina.

Prior to his two-year stint at Pitt, Burton spent two seasons with Wichita State and one season with Texas Tech. Burton is now represented by Edge Sports. Earlier this offseason, he worked out at the Portsmouth Invitational alongside other seniors from around the country.
