On Friday, Pitt extended an offer to Austin Swartz, a 6-foot-4 prospect in the class of 2024.
Swartz, a shooting guard, plays for Cannon School in Concord, North Carolina. He is currently playing on the Nike EYBL circuit for Boo Williams, and has seen his stock shoot up after some impressive performances as of late. Swartz is now ranked as the No. 43 player in the class of 2024 by 247 Sports. In addition to Pitt, he holds offers from Penn State, Virginia Tech, UConn, Miami, Indiana, Illinois, Florida State, Clemson, and others.
The Panthers also have offers out to the following 2024 guards that are still available: Malachi Palmer, Boogie Fland, Jalil Bethea, Jaeden Mustaf, KJ Greene, and Moses Hipps.
Pitt currently has just one 2024 prospect committed to join the team next year, and that is local standout Brandin Cummings. Cummings, a 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Lincoln Park (PA), is the younger brother of former Pitt point guard Nelly Cummings. He is ranked as the No. 131 player in the class of 2024.
