Just after midnight on June 15, Pitt’s basketball staff was finally allowed to contact 2025 recruits.
One of the first recruits that the staff contacted — and offered — was Kiyan Anthony, the son of former NBA star Carmelo Anthony.
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard prospect plays for Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, N.Y. and 247sports lists him as the No. 62 prospect in the Class of 2025. Anthony also holds offers from Indiana, Illinois, and other programs from around the country early in his high-school career.
The Panthers also reached out to 2025 star Alier Maluk within minutes of the contact period opening at midnight.
