Pitt is in position to possibly land 4-star recruits on consecutive days.
After receiving a commitment last night from New Jersey 4-star running back Yasin Willis, the Panthers staff are waiting to hear the decision from Zy’Marion Lang.
Lang is a 2024 4-star wide receiver from Palmetto, Florida, who’s listed Pitt in his final four.
Rivals rates him as a four-star, as well as the No. 47 recruit in Florida and No. 20 at wide receiver in his class, respectively.
He stands at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds and is a versatile athlete, as he also has played quarterback in high school. Lang completed 9-of-15 pass attempts for 130 yards, as a quarterback, but he excelled at wide receiver, hauling in a team-high 28 receptions for 470 yards (16.8 yards per reception) and five touchdowns as a junior in 2022.
Pitt joins Kansas State, South Carolina and USF as his final four schools he’ll chose from today. Lang also held offers from ACC schools in Boston College, Duke, Louisville and Miami, Big 12 schools in Cincinnati, Kansas, UCF and West Virginia, Big Ten Schools in Indiana, Nebraska and Wisconsin and SEC schools in Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M, and others.
If Lang commits to Pitt, he would become the 5th 4-star recruit in Pitt’s Class of 2024 and the third wide receiver to commit, joining Florida four-star in Ric’Darious “DayDay” Farmer and Massachusetts three-star Cameron Monteiro.
Lang took an official visit to Pitt in June and did the same with Kansas State.
