Pitt Football No. 30 In Preseason USA Today/Coaches Poll

The Pitt Panthers weren’t far from being in the Top 25 of the first major preseason poll.

In the first Preseason USA Today Coaches Poll, Pat Narduzzi’s team came in at No. 30.

This poll is done with 63 head coaches at the Football Bowl schools. Each coach submits a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24 points and so on down to one point for 25th.

Three ACC schools made the Top 25: Florida State No. 8, Clemson No. 9 and North Carolina No. 20.

Here was the complete Top 25.

8. Florida State

9. Clemson

22. Ole Miss

23. Tulane

24. Texas Tech
