Schools Continue to Pursue Pitt 2024 Commit Jeremiah Marcelin

Jeremiah Marcelin.

It’s the time of year that college football programs send out official scholarship offers. The importance of that is official offers are ones that players can actually commit to. Previous to this, the offers that players received were just verbal ones, which aren’t committable. This is an aspect of recruiting that many fans forget.

I’m bringing this up because a member of Pitt’s Class of 2024 is getting a lot of attention from other Power Five programs. Three-star linebacker Jeremiah Marcelin (Miami Norland High School in Miami, Fla.) committed to Pitt back on June 22nd.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound star received his official offer from Pitt this week but also picked up official offers from a number of other schools, which is definitely interesting. Aside from Pitt, Marcelin has picked up official offers from Louisville, Florida State, South Florida and Maryland.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has reached out to Jeremiah Marcelin to get his reaction to this and will update this story once he replies.
