Following a wacky opening weekend of the 2023 college football season, there’s some change in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll. But it had a minimal impact on Pitt.
When it comes to the ACC, it was both good and bad. Good because a fourth ACC school entered the rankings and found itself the talk of the college football world Tuesday. And bad because the conference’s marquee program took a major tumble in the rankings.
The Pitt Panthers didn’t crack the Top 25 in either poll but did move up a couple of spots and could be a week away from being a ranked team.

probably won’t crack the T25 unless 3-0. or 2-0 and everyone from 21-25 loses.
Polls in early September always flop! Schools that run up the score and display unsportsmanlike behaviors usually do so to climb the rankings. H2P
At least Syracuse didn’t get any votes…after running up the score on toothpaste U.
After scoring only 7 points on lightweight Duke….no way Clemson should still be ranked.
