PITTSBURGH — There will be some new faces in the Pitt starting lineup against No. 17 North Carolina Saturday night at Acrisure Stadium.
With Matt Goncalves and Bangally Kamara out of the lineup due to injuries suffered last week, the offensive line and linebacking corps have shuffled internally.
Terence Moore and Ryan Baer will make their first career Pitt starts, at center and right tackle, respectively, and the shake includes Jake Kradel sitting out tonight. The new look offensive line includes Blake Zubovic, Ryan Baer and Branson Taylor.
C’Bo Flemister is the second starter at running back this week, continuing a rotation with Daniel Carter behind Rodney Hammond Jr.
With Kamara in a walking boot, the new starting linebacker trio is Shayne Simon, Solomon DeShields and Kyle Louis — who is making his first career start at Star linebacker in place of Kamara.
Deandre Jules has rotated back into the starting lineup on the interior of the defensive line, and Bam Brima is making his first start of the season at end.
