Twitter Reaction to Pitt Basketball Domination of Binghamton

PITTSBURGH — Pitt basketball dominated Binghamton Friday night, 89-60, at the Petersen Events Center, in front of a boisterous Oakland Zoo.

The Panthers improved to 2-0 on the season, the first time since 2018-19, in head coach Jeff Capel’s first season at the helm. Senior forward Blake Hinson scored 26 points and Rhode Island transfer junior guard Ishmael Leggett scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double.

The great performance saw Pitt fans on Twitter react to what they saw and their hopes for a great rest of the season.

Pitt has played 2 games (albeit bye games) and is 2-0 and have won both games by an avg. of 38.5 points. Just a reminder Capel can’t recruit and would never get a team bought in to him! Pitt will never make the tourney with him as coach. He’s just Stallings 2.0! Fire Capel!

After the down years Pitt basketball had & the two seasons Blake Hinson spent not playing basketball at Iowa State, I feel like Hinson and the Oakland Zoo are a match made in heaven.

This is an insanely fun-looking Pitt basketball team. Excited to watch them match up against FGCU on Monday. That'll be a nice test for them.

Pitt's going to need Lowe to find his rhythm with some of the tougher games coming up. These early games are a good way for him to work out the struggles in his game.

Carrington has it naturally. Lowe's just taking a bit more adjust but there's clear talent there.
