Tuesday’s Best ESPN BET Bets: Coyotes-Pens, Hofstra-Duke, Warriors-Suns

We were able to salvage a 1-2 night yesterday, cashing the Over 45 late in the Titans/Dolphins game. Delaware missed the cover by a point against RMU while the Packers could not solve Tommy Devito. We move to 42-33-1 on the year, a 55% winning percentage.

With Tyreek Hill now being affected by an injury, it may be time to look at his odds for Offensive Player of the Year. Right now, he and Christian McCaffrey have the lowest odds. Hill is -220 while McCaffrey is +150. Both of these players are the most important pieces in their respective offices, even more than the quarterbacks.

If this injury to Hill does affect him moving forward, it could be a safe bet to take McCaffrey at plus money. Hill has been dynamic this year and does deserve the award, but the injury could hamper his stats the rest of the season. Betting McCaffrey for Offensive Player of the Year is something you should look into.

Now onto the winning picks!

Arizona Coyotes at Pittsburgh Penguins (-190) O/U 6 7:00 PM on SportsNet Pittsburgh

The Penguins come back to Pittsburgh licking their wounds after dropping 4 straight games to Eastern Conference opponents. During their three-game road trip, the Pens failed to score more than 1 goal in each of those contests.

Awaiting the Penguins at home are the Arizona Coyotes and local product Logan Cooley, who will be playing his first NHL game in Pittsburgh. Cooley, who is originally from the West Mifflin area, has 3 goals and 12 assists on the year but a -11 +/- rating.

As it stands, the Coyotes are in the middle of the pack of the Central Division out west. Since the money line on the Pens is a little too high for my liking, I like the Over 6 goals tonight. I believe the Penguins score more goals than in their previous 3 games and get a much-needed win in the process.

Hofstra Pride at Duke Blue Devils (-15.5) O/U 143.5 7:00 PM on ESPN2

In their second year without Coach K, the Duke Blue Devils are again experiencing an up and down season. They lost to Arizona in their second game of the season but turned around and beat Michigan St in the State Farm Champions Classic.

A few additional wins were followed up by back-to-back losses to Arkansas and Georgia Tech, very uncharacteristic for the Duke program. Next week they will have another big test against Baylor, but tonight they have to worry about The Pride of Hofstra.

Hofstra is looking like a potential NCAA Tournament out of the CAA. Duke can’t sleepwalk through this game and expect to win. Though I believe Duke will win in the end, Hofstra will be able to cover this high spread.

Hofstra Covers +15.5, Hofstra Pride 64 Duke Blue Devils 75

Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns (-1.5) O/U 231.5 10:00 PM on TNT

The Phoenix Suns will be without one of their big three tonight as Kevin Durant is out with an injury. Durant has had the Warriors’ number so far this season, dropping over 30 in the second meeting last month.

But without Durant, I do not like the Suns’ chances of making it three straight victories over the Warriors this season. Golden State has played in some close contests since the return of Draymond Green from suspension. I believe tonight they can keep it close and finally take out the Suns this year.

Warriors cover the small spread and win outright.

Warriors Cover +1.5, Golden State Warriors 112 Phoenix Suns 110
