Last night was a bit rough. We suffered our second push on the Over 6 goals in the Coyotes/Penguins. The empty netter at the end got us the push. Hofstra kept up with Duke for the first 30 minutes of the game, but The Pride fell apart in the final 10 minutes. Warriors were beating the Sun, but Draymond Green did Draymond Green things and got thrown out, costing Golden State the win and cover. We move 42-35-2 on the season.
Speaking of the NBA, let’s take a look at the current NBA odds to win the title. The Celtics and Bucks have the lowest odds along with the Denver Nuggets to win it all. Both Boston and Milwaukee are under +200 to win the East as well. Though I generally like both of these, there are some interesting odds out there for both conferences and to win it all.
The Miami Heat are currently 15/1 to win the East and 40/1 to win the NBA title. The Heat have found their way into the mix the last handful of seasons, making the NBA finals twice in the last five years. Don’t be surprised if the Heat find themselves in the Eastern Conference Finals again.
Now time for the winning picks!
Pittsburgh Penguins (-150) at Montreal Canadiens O/U 6.5 7:00 PM on SportsNet Pittsburgh
The Penguins ship up to Montreal after defeating the Coyotes on home ice last night. As we discussed last night, the Pens have struggled to score on the road. In their return to PPG Paints Arena last night, they accomplished something they have done in more than a month: Score a power play goal.
They actually scored two power play goals, one of those was by Jeff Carter who even had a shorthanded goal as well. Last night was probably Jeff Carter’s best game as a Penguin. But will this scoring continue tonight way up in Canada? I don’t think so.
The Pens will once again struggle to find the back and the net, but win a close, low scoring game against the Canadiens.

Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks (-6.5) O/U 258.5 8:00 PM
Scoring is way up in the NBA. We are seeing a lot of games with both teams entering 150+ point territory. One of those teams this year has been the Pacers. Last week, this Indiana squad beat the Bucks in the In-Season Tournament semifinals. Tonight, Milwaukee can get revenge at their place when they host the Pacers tonight.
While I do think the revenge factor for the Bucks is intriguing, I believe this total is way too. Both teams have been excellent towards the Over bets but totals this high rarely cover.
This could be a high scoring game by either side and the total still can go Under. That is how I am rolling tonight.

Creighton Blue Jays (-13.5) vs UNLV Rebels O/U 151.5 9:00 PM on CBS Sports Network
One of the trending favorites to win the National Championship face off against the UNLV in a neutral site game in the Jack Jones Classic in Henderson, Nevada. Outside of a loss to Colorado St, the Blue Jays have been a very impressive team this season and a lot of that has to do with them against the spread record.
The Blue Jays are 7-2 ATS so far this season. On the other hand, UNLV is downright dreadful against the spread. UNLV is 2-5 ATS on the season and has a 3-4 record overall which includes a loss to Southern as huge favorites.
I believe Creighton has way too much firepower and depth for UNLV to handle and the Blue Jays blow out the Rebels tonight in the Jack Jones Classic.
