We are on a roll right now! Three straight days of 3-0 on the winning picks! And to top it off, we are 11-1 since Monday. What an insane run!
The total in the Hurricanes/Penguins went way under as the Pens held off the Canes in a shootout. The Rams took care of business against the Saints. South Florida not only covered but won as I predicted they would. I did not expect a shutout and a 45-0 win over Syracuse but we will take it. We move to 59-45-2 on the year.
The South Florida blowout of Syracuse last night is a perfect example of why you always need to look into both teams before betting them in bowl games. The Orange started a quarterback who had only appeared in 2 games in mop up duty. The tight end who ran wild against Pitt also got some action at quarterback. It did not go well.
Combining different quarterbacks with little playing time and an interim staff can be a recipe for disaster for bettors. Check every note you can find when betting these bowls. It can be the difference between making money and losing money. Like in the bowl game we have tonight.
Now time for the picks!
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs UCF Knights (-5.5) O/U 66.5 Gasparilla Bowl 6:30 PM on ESPN
The Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech return to a bowl game for the first time since the Paul Johnson era as they face UCF in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl Friday night. Both of these teams were able to sneak into a bowl game after having an up and down season.
One thing is for certain in this game: expect a lot of points from both sides. Each of these teams are missing key members of their defenses, whether they are in the transfer portal or have opted out of the game. And with both starting quarterbacks from the regular season starting tonight, we should expect them to take advantage.
I really think Georgia Tech can win this game outright. My pick here will be the over but you might wanna sprinkle a little bit on the Yellow Jacket moneyline, which is +175 on ESPN Bet.

Marist Red Foxes at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-5.5) O/U 126.5 8:00 PM on ACC Network
To put it lightly, there has been little fight in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this season. They stink. They stunk before Mike Brey resigned and they stink even more with former Penn St coach Micah Shrewsberry in charge. Notre Dame is having a pissing match with Louisville on who will be the worst team in the ACC.
Marist has had a much better season than the Irish have. The Red Foxes are 7-2 and sit atop the MAAC Conference right now. This will be their first action of the season against a Power 6 conference member.
Though this will be a set up in competition for the Red Foxes, I believe they can hang around with this disaster of a Notre Dame team, who recently just lost to The Citadel.
Marist Covers +5.5, Marist Red Foxes 63 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 67
Montreal Canadiens at Chicago Blackhawks (-115) O/U 6 8:30 PM on ESPN+
Our hockey picks have been a big reason for our hot week. Since Monday, we are 4-0 in the NHL. And though there are a lot better matchups like Oilers/Rangers to pick from tonight, we head out to Chicago instead.
Though the Blackhawks have won for us before on the Winning Picks, they don’t really win much when we don’t involve them. Chicago are tied with the San Jose Sharks for the worst team in the league. Conner Bedard is single handedly carrying this team, leading them in goals, assists and points.
But that is what you expect out of a franchise rookie. The rest of the Blackhawks are not very good, but they did play this Canadien team tight in their first meeting in October during a 3-2 loss in Montreal. Tonight, I expect Chicago to even the season series and get a win over the Canadiens.
Blackhawks Moneyline -115, Montreal Canadiens 2 Chicago Blackhawks 3
