It would be very difficult to be more impressive than the Hopewell Navy 6th Grade Girls travel basketball team were tonight.
This group of girls were in action as they took on the South Side Rams with the Lady Vikings coming away with a 42-1 victory.
Hopewell scored the first 36 points of the game, with talented guard Rilynn Davis scoring the first ten of them. At halftime, Hopewell led by the score of 20-0 and continued that in the 3rd quarter by outscoring the Rams, 16-0.
This victory comes on the heels of their 20-7 win over Rochester earlier this week.
Taking a look at the Hopewell Box Score: Davis led the way with 14 points, Lydia Jaquay with 8 points, Isla Rock with 6 points, Callie Sadler with 4 points, Gia Yurcina with 4 points, Cora Quinn with 2 points and Vanessa Kurta with 2 points.
The Hopewell Navy team will have a busy weekend as they also have scheduled games against Western Beaver, McGuffey, while also competing in the South Side Tournament on Sunday.
The Navy team wasn’t the only Hopewell Girls travel team in action tonight.
The Gold team took on South Side in the South Side Tournament and came away with a 15-6 win.
Sofia Cronin led the way with 8 points while McKenzie Bellomo scored 7 points for the Gold team.
