2025 Florida WR With Local Ties Picks Up Big Pitt Offer

Pitt wide receiver target Jackson Miller.

Jackson Miller grew up in South Florida, currently attending Cardinal Newman High in West Palm Beach, but he’s been very aware of Pitt football for almost his entire life.

Miller — a 6-foot-1, 165-pound wide receiver in the class of 2025 — has family in the Pittsburgh area. His grandfather grew up in Aliquippa, Pa. His mother spent time there, too. There’s still family in the Pittsburgh area.

So, Miller is very familiar with the Pittsburgh area. And Pitt football.

“I’ve always thought very highly of Pitt, and everything looks great about it,” Miller told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I had a teammate go up there, Maverick (Gracio), he’s a freshman this year, and he’s been saying he loves it up there.”

Charlie Partridge stopped into Cardinal Newman Thursday, and he did so with a handful of offers in mind. Miller picked up one of those offers.

“It feels great,” Miller said about the offer. “Coach Partridge was great to talk to. It was a great experience overall.”

He had seen Partridge around Cardinal Newman over the last couple of years as Partridge checked in on recruits in recent seasons, including Gracio, but Thursday was the first real interaction that Miller had with Partridge.

It wasn’t a long conversation, but it was a good talk. Miller appreciated Partridge’s humor. And Miller is looking forward to continuing to build a relationship with Partridge and Pitt in the weeks to come.

Miller is a well-built track star who has earned offers from Pitt, Oregon, Western Kentucky, Charlotte and Campbell at this point in his recruiting process, and it’s that speed in a compact frame that college coaches excited for his potential at the next level.

According to MaxPreps, in five games as a junior at Cardinal Newman, Miller racked up nine receptions for 156 yards (17.3 yards per reception) and a touchdown — and he’s a star on the track, too.

Miller ran a personal-best 11.01 in the 100-meter last year, and he’s not limited to short distance either as he ran the 100-, 200-, 400-meter and relay events at Cardinal Newman.

Miller hasn’t been rated by the major recruiting services (247Sports or Rivals) to this point, but that will likely change over the next few weeks and months as he’s active in the camp scene.

There isn’t a current plan for Miller to make it up to Pittsburgh, but he is looking forward to the opportunity in the near future. He plans to be active this spring in making camp appearances and checking out the schools that have shown him interest. And he wants to find a school that will be able to offer him the complete package as a student-athlete.

“(Pitt is) definitely very high,” Miller said.

Pitt has not yet landed a commitment in the class of 2025, but the recruits in the class are beginning to come to the forefront.

The Panthers are in the mix for four-star linebacker Dayshaun Burnett (Pittsburgh, Pa.), three-star athlete Emmanuel Taylor (Virginia Beach, Va.), three-star offensive lineman Raphael Greene (Cincinnati, Ohio), four-star wide receiver Jadyn Robinson (San Juan Capistrano, Cal.), three-star running back Jeffrey Overton Jr. (Woodbridge, Va.) and three-star edge rusher Sharlandiin Strange (Wyncote, Pa).
