Pitt Adds Official Visit from 2025 Maryland Interior Offensive Linemen

Pitt offensive line target Triston Pierre.

Pitt has been more active than ever before in scheduling official visits early in the spring, with dozens of recruits currently slated to visit in June, and there’s a new name that’s been added to the list.

Triston Pierre — a 6-foot-4, 250-pound offensive lineman from Quince Orchard High in Gaithersburg, Md. — has scheduled an official visit with the Panthers for the weekend of June 6-8.

Pierre, who does not yet have another official visit lined up, holds offers from UConn, Howard, Marshall and Pitt and has interest from Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, JMU, Liberty and Penn State.

It’s still a relatively new relationship between Pitt and Pierre, considering new offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau officially extended him an offer on Feb. 22, and it was — obviously — his first Power Four offer.

Pierre already has an unofficial visit scheduled for April 13, which happens to be for the Blue-Gold Spring Game at Acrisure Stadium, and it’s going to be his first chance to check out how the Panthers operate on a “game day.”

While he’s currently a bit thin for the position, checking in at 250 pounds, he has a long, solid frame that should be able to add mass and continue playing at his current size. He’s quick and athletic for his size, and that should translate to the next level.

Pierre isn’t rated by any of the major recruiting services (247Sports, Rivals or On3), but he’s a versatile offensive lineman who should see a spike in his recruiting profile over the next couple of months.

With two visits coming up, an unofficial and an official, it will be important for the coaching staff to build a strong bond with Pierre and see if the relationship is able to progress far enough for an eventual commitment.

Pitt currently holds two commitments in the class of 2025, three-star defensive lineman Trevor Sommers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and three-star quarterback Mason Heintschel (Oregon, Ohio), and it’s not unlikely that a couple more soon join the class this spring.

There are nearly 20 official visits currently scheduled for June, and while all of those visits will not take place, it’s a good start for the Pitt coaching staff.
