PITTSBURGH — Pitt football continues its work heading into the fifth week of Spring practice, with two scrimmages done and growth across all position groups.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi spoke on his team and how it’s improved in the season. Defensive lineman Dayon Hayes is in his fifth and final season with the program.

He talked about his growth over his collegiate career, what he likes from new defensive line coach Tim Daoust and which of the young early enrollees will surprise fans.

Running back Daniel Carter is in his sixth season and spoke on learning a new offense and trying to improve from a poor 3-9 record last season.

Offensive lineman BJ Williams saw a lot of action from last season and is looking to become a leader under new offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau.
