One of the greatest shooters to put on a Pitt basketball uniform is looking to make his mark in professional basketball now.

Blake Hinson, last year’s leading scorer for the Panthers, is now working out for NBA franchises as he prepares for next month’s NBA Draft in Brooklyn. According to a source, Hinson has already worked out for four franchises: San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, and Memphis Grizzlies (today, May 28). Hinson still has 15 remaining workouts on the schedule. He will work out for the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks in the next week.

Hinson recently competed at the NBA G League Elite Camp from May 9 to May 12 in Chicago after not receiving an invitation to the NBA Combine.

The 6-foot-8 forward averaged a career-high 18.8 points per game this season along with 4.6 rebounds. Hinson hit 106 three pointers on the season, hitting 42% of his shots from beyond the arch. The Deltona, Florida native has scored more than 20 points 14 different times this year, and set a season-high with 41 points in a recent win over Louisville.

Hinson earned First Team All-ACC honors after he set numerous records for the Panthers this season, including the most three pointers in a season and the most three pointers in a game (9 against West Virginia).
