Larry Moon III Adds Latest Offer From Blue Blood Ohio State

Aliquippa star Larry Moon III.

Larry Moon III is quickly becoming a household name in college football recruiting across the country. The Class of 2027 defensive back’s journey will be well-documented over the next handful of years as top programs attempt to land the coveted prospect.

Moon III continues a busy spring full of visits and that has transitioned into the month of June as he seemingly walks into elite schools one moment and walks out the door with an offer not long after.

That was the case on Wednesday as Moon III attended Ohio State Football’s One Day Camp, and after competing, the Buckeyes became the latest blue blood program to extend an offer to the young talent.

“It means a lot because Ohio State is a well respected program throughout the country and they have some of the best defenses in the country,” Moon III told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect made the most out of his experience at Ohio State as he performed in front of the coaching staff.

“It was fun competing with some of the best players in Ohio and the experience is always good when you’re being coached by a college coach,” Moon III said.

The Ohio State camp comes days after Moon III competed at Notre Dame and came out of it also holding an offer from the Fighting Irish.

The Aliquippa product’s visit to Ohio State is the second in two months after making a trip to Columbus on March 5 where he received the full experience of what the program is all about during a spring practice.

On his return trip, Moon III felt the growth in his relationship with head coach Ryan Day and the rest of the staff.

“The relationship is growing stronger every time we see each other. I have a lot of respect for them and how they keep it real with me,” Moon III said.

The Ohio State offer is Moon III’s 27th overall on a list that includes LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, USC, Wisconsin, West Virginia and more.

Moon III’s camp season continues at Alabama on June 15 and it would come as no surprise if he left Tuscaloosa with an offer in his back pocket.
