June 15 is always an exciting day for college basketball prospects that are entering their junior year of high school.

These recruits can now finally hear directly from college coaches per NCAA rules, as the “contact period” has begun. Each year on the 15th, usually immediately after midnight, hundreds of college coaches reach out to these prospective athletes in order to build the relationship necessary to one day land a commitment.

The Pitt staff once again hit up prospects shortly after midnight, and PSN has identified one of those targets.

Tarris Bouie is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Julius L. Chambers High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bouie told PSN that he heard from Pitt within the first 38 minutes of the day. He also heard from Charlotte.

Bouie holds previous offers from Wake Forest and Samford, per his Twitter profile.

Playing for Nike EYBL 16u squad Team Thad this spring and summer, Bouie has had a tremendous run on the court. Across 26 minutes per game, he is averaging 20.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He shot 41% from three-point range across those 12 games so far this summer.
