Pitt Basketball head coach Jeff Capel

It is now June 15, meaning that college basketball staffs are finally allowed to directly contact players in the class of 2026.

Rising juniors from all over the country heard from college coaches for the first time on Saturday, some hearing from coaches right after midnight and most getting texts and calls throughout the day on Saturday. Hours into the day, PSN has tracked down several players who have heard from the Pitt staff so far. Here they are.

MARKUS KERR

Pitt head coach Jeff Capel reached out to Kerr on Saturday. Kerr is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Julius L. Chambers in North Carolina. He is not the only prospect on this list from JL Chambers — so keep an eye out for a teammate of his further down the line.

Kerr holds offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, College of Charleston, High Point, and Mississippi State.

QAYDEN SAMUELS

Samuels plays his high-school ball for Bishop McNamara (MD). The 6-foot-5 guard also heard from Georgetown, Syracuse, Old Dominion, George Washington, Louisville, and others. Samuels holds offers from Illinois, Florida State, Providence, Maryland, and others already.

KATRELLE HARMON

Harmon is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Renton, Washington. He plays for BFL Prep and is ranked as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports. Harmon is the No. 52 player in the class of 2026, per 247.

PARKER ROBINSON

Another DMV native is on the board. Robinson is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Maryland. The unranked guard holds offers from Illinois, Providence, Iowa, Old Dominion, East Carolina, and others, per 247 Sports.

TARRIS BOUIE

Bouie also plays for J.L. Chambers High School in North Carolina. He heard from Pitt assistant Jason Capel early Saturday, just after midnight. Bouie is a 6-foot-4 guard.

Playing for Nike EYBL 16u squad Team Thad this spring and summer, Bouie has had a tremendous season. Across 26 minutes per game, he is averaging 20.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He shot 41% from three-point range across those 12 games so far this summer.
