Basketball season is still many months away, but on Monday, June 24, the Pitt basketball squad gathered for the first official team workouts in the Steel City.

Pitt’s social media team shared photos of the day, as well as video content on both Instagram and Twitter/X. Check out the videos below of Amdy Ndiaye and Amsal Delalic — two newcomers to this year’s team — hooping at Pitt.

Pitt shared more content on Instagram, posting videos of Cam Corhen, Brandin Cummings, Ishmael Leggett, and Guillermo Diaz Graham working out.

Pitt basketball enters the 2024-25 season with high hopes, looking to bounce back from missing the NCAA Tournament last year. The Panthers return star guards Jaland Lowe and Leggett from last season, and will fill the back court with the freshman Cummings, Houston transfer Damian Dunn, and the European guard/wing Delalic. In the front court, Pitt welcomes redshirt freshman Papa Amadou Kante back from injury. The Panthers will also look to Diaz Graham for production at the five, along with the Florida State transfer Corhen.

Pitt finished last season just outside the NCAA Tournament field after making the big dance in 2022-23. The Panthers will open this upcoming campaign against Radford at home on Nov. 4. The Panthers also have several other non-conference matchups that have already been reported, including a game against West Virginia for the Backyard Brawl as well as the SEC/ACC Challenge against Mississippi State — the team that the Panthers memorably beat in the First Four of the 2022-23 NCAA Tournament.
