All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of the Pitt 2024 training camp roster.

Tamarion Crumpley, a redshirt junior cornerback from Winton Woods in Cincinnati, Ohio

2023 season: Crumpley played in all 12 games last season, serving primarily as a special teamer but saw some action in the secondary

Stats: Crumpley recorded three tackles last season (all solo), two of which came defensively — the first recorded statistics of his collegiate career

Camp outlook: Crumpley will work with the 1s and 2s this summer, as he did during the spring, and he has a legitimate chance to crack the cornerback rotation through his play in practice

Projected role: Crumpley is firmly in the mix for the starting cornerback rotation this season, earning some praise from the coaching staff throughout the spring. He isn’t a frontrunner but remains in the mix

Tamarion Crumpley (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) initially committed to Pitt — after decommitting from Minnesota earlier in his process — over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, Wake Forest, Washington State and West Virginia.

He hasn’t played much during his college career, sitting out in 2021 and 2022, but he emerged as a special teamer last season — seeing time against Notre Dame and Syracuse defensively.

Pitt lost its top three cornerbacks to the NFL over the offseason, requiring a complete reset and Ryland Gandy, Tamon Lynum, Jaremiah Anglin Jr., Rashad Battle and Crumpley worked well together during the spring. It’s about who can emerge this summer now.

While Crumpley has been overshadowed by some of his old — and new — teammates this offseason, he’s a cornerback who knows the system and has performed well.
