Delalic will have four years of eligibility at Pitt.

“We are excited to add Amsal to our roster,” head coach Jeff Capel said in a press release upon Delalic’s signing. “He is a talented guard with an outstanding shooting stroke and feel for the game. He has played at a high level internationally and will come into our program ready to compete. We were looking to add another high-upside player with the shooting ability to stretch the floor and Amsal fits that role.”

Delalic is a 6-foot-7 prospect who played for professional team Borac Nektar in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The 20-year-old visited Pitt earlier this spring and committed shortly after.

“And the journey continues…” Delalic said in an Instagram post. “I am thankful for all the people of the University of Pittsburgh especially coach Jeff Capel and Tim O’Toole for giving me the opportunity to come and play basketball and continue my academic path as well. #AD52 coming to a zoo near you…”

Delalic averaged 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game on 46/42/80 shooting splits this past season for Borac Nektar. Eurospects ranks Delalic as the 26th-ranked European among prospects born in 2003. He will turn 21 on July 24 this summer.

In the back court, Pitt returns guards Jaland Lowe and Ish Leggett for the 2024-25 season. The staff has also brought in Houston transfer guard Damian Dunn through the portal along with the addition of Delalic.
