Coach Talk

“As a quarterback, one of the first things that jumps off the page is his ability to run. Matt’s someone who’s always been able to move really well. He gives teams a lot of troubles in the run game. He’s working on becoming a more balanced quarterback. At safety, he understands what offenses are trying to do and he’s just to centerfielder back there. He can cover a lot of area — we are able to takeaway half the field with him off the top. His physicality is a little under rated. He likes to get his nose down there and make tackles.”   — Fort Cherry head coach Tanner Garry

Film

Matt is nearly a consensus four-star, as he holds such rankings from ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports. He is viewed as a top-200 player in the Class of 2026 and one of the best players in the state of Pennsylvania. Matt is extremely versatile at the quarterback position. He can dial it up deep or take off and run. He has tremendous breakaway speed and elusiveness. On the defensive side of the ball, he is physical and a strong tackler. He tracks the ball well and can shutdown the middle of the field. Many Big 10 schools are looking at Sieg as a safety, but others, such as Syracuse, value Sieg as a quarterback. His high school numbers are already staggering and are only expected to top his sophomore numbers.
