Pitt All 105: LB Luke DelGaudio Provides Veteran Experience

Pitt linebacker Luke DelGaudio

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of the Pitt 2024 training camp roster.

Luke DelGaudio, a redshirt senior linebacker from Dallas in Shavertown, Pa.

2023 season: DelGaudio played in one game last season, seeing action in the season opener against Wofford

Stats: DelGaudio has not recorded any statistics in his four seasons in Pittsburgh

Camp outlook: DalGaudio may not be poised for playing time entering his fifth season in Pittsburgh, but he’s the long-term walk-on who serves a pivotal practice role

Projected role: DelGaudio isn’t going to see the field in 2024, but he’s one of the glue guys who earns his keep on the practice field. And that isn’t going to change for the Pitt graduate

Luke DelGaudio (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) turned down a scholarship opportunity to join the Panthers as a walk-on in 2020, and after a couple of seasons as a wide receiver, he transitioned to linebacker in the 2022 season.

DelGaudio played in two games in 2021 before breaking out as a special teamer in 2022 — playing in 11 games. But he played in just one game last season.

He isn’t a player who is going to see the field in 2024, but he is an integral part of the squad. He’s a veteran presence who gives his all on the practice field during the season and in the offseason.
