Panthers in the Pros: One Injured, One Goes 2 For 10 From Three

On Sunday, former Pitt Panthers Mo Gueye and Blake Hinson played in their second NBA Summer League games.

Hinson came off the bench in his game, playing for the Lakers against the Warriors. He air-balled his first three-point attempt o the matchup, but then hit his next two three pointers. Check out this reaction from Panthers’ associate head coach Milan Brown to his two threes.

Unfortunately for Hinson, those were the final two shots that he would make on the night. The 6-foot-8 sharpshooter missed his final seven shots of the game, ending with a 2-for-10 night from the field, with all ten shots coming from three-point range. He went just two for four from the free-throw line in the Lakers’ loss. Hinson grabbed five rebounds and two steals, but also struggled defensively with seven fouls and a team-low -22 +/- rating.

Gueye played just six minutes in his game for the Hornets against China. He left the game early with a right ankle injury,

In his six minutes of action, Gueye totaled one offensive rebound, one steal, one block, one foul, and one turnover. He did not attempt any shots in his time on the floor. Gueye was +14 in the game.

Both players exploded for big nights in their first games of the summer, earlier this weekend. Check out the recaps from those games here or click the link below.
