On Tuesday night, former Pitt Panther Mo Gueye is scheduled to play in the NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets.

Gueye injured his right ankle two days ago in his second Summer League game of the year, and his status for Tuesday night’s game is currently unknown. The Hornets are scheduled to take on the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m. est. in Sacramento as part of the California Classic. The Hornets are 2-0 in Summer League play, with wins over the Spurs and China. In that first win over San Antonio, Gueye led the team with a solid 21-point night.

Tuesday night’s game can be found on ESPN+ and NBATV.

Fellow Panthers Blake Hinson, Bub Carrington, and Justin Champagnie are also playing in the Summer League. Carrington and Champagnie both play for the Washington Wizards, who kick off their Summer League slate with a game on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. est on ESPN against the Atlanta Hawks.

Hinson plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, and will play his next game on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. est on ESPN2.

Hinson and the Lake Show will take on Houston just one day later on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. est. So far, Hinson has one game of 17 points (5 for 7 from three-point range) and one game of eight points (2 for 10 from three-point range).

The former Stony Brook standout Gueye transferred to Pitt before the 2021-22 season and burst onto the scene as a dynamic player for the Panthers. He was the team leader in both three pointers and blocked shots in his lone season in Pittsburgh, averaging 2.1 blocks and hitting 43 threes on the year. Gueye scored 9.8 points per game and grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game, ranking him fourth on the team in scoring and second in rebounding.
