Q&A

Other sports: I run track, baseball and I’m going to play basketball my last year.

Favorite hobby outside of football? Spending time with family and going on adventures.

Favorite type of song, music or artist to get you ready for a game? NBA Youngboy and Meek Mill.

What’s your pregame routines/superstitions? I just pray with my father.

Favorite gameday meal? Wendy’s.

Favorite NFL player to watch? Tyrann Mathieu.

Something people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to know? That I can sing a little bit.

Favorite high school football moment so far? This last year winning the state championship.

Biggest mentor and why? My father and Aliquippa alum Dravon Askew-Henry. He just always pours into me and he’s just a good dude and someone I really look up to.

Describe yourself on the field? Confident guy. Good with his hands. Twitchy guy, can move. Always studying, so I break plays down before it happens and just go and make the play.

What are your goals this offseason? Get stronger and faster. Get with the team, making sure we all good and everyone on the same page building that chemistry.

D1 Offers? St. Francis and Robert Morris.

What’s the recruiting process been like? It’s been up and down, but it’s about me being patient. Just keeping my head forward, keeping focused and trusting God.

Coach Talk

“He’s a true leader and one of the hardest workers on the team on the field and in the classroom. We are going to rely on his leadership and experience back in the secondary and at the receiver position. He has all the skills. He’s quick, he’s strong and he’s fast. More importantly, he’s intelligent and calls a majority of the coverages back in the secondary. This will be his third year starting and it’s tough to do that at Aliquippa.”  — Aliquippa head coach Mike Warfield

Film

Walker is an explosive defensive back that can cover a lot of ground in a hurry. Any ball thrown on his side of the field is more often than not going to end up in Walker’s hands. He makes quarterbacks pay for lousy throws. He is simply a takeaway machine. Electrifying in the return game and dangerous at receiver as well with great footwork and speed.
