Zoo Crew Adds Former Panthers’ Sharpshooter to TBT Roster

On Thursday, Pitt announced that former sharp-shooting guard Greg Elliott has joined Zoo Crew ahead of this year’s TBT.

Elliott, a 6-foot-3 guard, shined in a wing role for the Panthers in the 2022-23 season. The Detroit native started 36 games, scoring 10.4 points per game and hitting 2.1 threes per game. Elliott hit 42% of his three-point attempts, filling a crucial role for Jeff Capel’s squad that advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

Elliott spent the first four years of his career at Marquette, playing 114 games for the Golden Eagles but struggling to reach his full potential due to injuries. With a fresh start at Pitt, Elliott shined alongside fellow veterans Nelly Cummings and Jamarius Burton in the back court.

Elliott played his first professional basketball season last year, competing in Denmark. According to ProBallers and EuroBasket,Elliott played just seven games for the Svendborg Rabbits, scoring 12 points per game on 46% from three-point range.
