Former Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested Friday near LAX in Los Angeles, Cal., according to a report from the Los Angeles Daily News.
The California Highway Patrol responded Friday night to a report of a disabled vehicle blocking lanes from westbound Glen Anderson Freeway to northbound Sepulveda, The LA Daily News further reported. Responding officers reported a white Rolls-Royce blocking a lane of the freeway with the driver asleep behind the wheel.
Addison was arrested at approximately 11:36 p.m. following a DUI investigation and was released two hours later at approximately 1:36 a.m. Saturday.
Addison earned the third Biletnikoff Award in the history of Pitt football in 2021, joining Antonio Bryant and Larry Fitzgerald, as well as consensus All-American honors on the heels of a season in which he caught 100 balls for 1,593 yards (15.9 yards per catch) and 17 touchdowns.
However, in April of 2022, Addison decided to enter the transfer portal and elected to transfer to USC, finishing his collegiate career with the Trojans.
After two seasons at Pitt, he finished his career with 160 catches for 2,259 yards (14.1 yards per catch) and 21 touchdowns in just 24 games.
In a lone season at USC, Addison caught 59 passes for 875 yards (14.8 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns. Despite a down season in SoCal, Addison was selected as a top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 23rd pick, paving the way for a strong debut.
Addison recorded 70 receptions for 911 yards (13 yards per reception) and 10 touchdowns during his rookie season with the Vikings.
Addison was in the news last summer when the Minnesota State police cited Addison for speeding and reckless driving, before he reported to training camp with the Vikings.
