On Saturday, Joe Tipton of On3 reported that Amari Evans, one of Pitt’s high priority targets in 2025, narrowed his recruiting list to ten schools.
Evans cut his list to include the following programs: Pitt, Mississippi State, Georgetown, TCU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Villanova, Tennessee, Illinois, and Xavier. Tipton also reported that Evans has scheduled four new official visits: Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU, and Xavier.
Evans will visit those four programs starting in late August and throughout the month of September.
Evans, a guard out of Overtime Elite, is originally from Pittsburgh. He began his high-school career at Bishop Canevin and now plays for OTE down in Atlanta.
He is ranked as the No. 96 player in the class of 2025 according to 247 Sports’ class rankings.
Earlier this summer, Evans joined Pittsburgh Sports Now to break down his recent visit to Pitt, talk about being from Pittsburgh, making the transition to OTE, and much more. Stay tuned on Pittsburgh Sports Now for more on Evans’ recruitment throughout the fall.
