PITTSBURGH — It was another hot morning on the South Side, but that didn’t stop Pitt from padding up for the first time this summer and raising the intensity level again.

There were six periods available to the media on Tuesday, with one live session toward the end, but unfortunately, it wasn’t able to be filmed. So, you’ll have to take my word that the defense was flying around again, especially on the backend.

Pat Narduzzi and the coaching staff hyped up the live session since the offense and defense were able to actually hit each other for the first time this summer, and it didn’t disappoint. Pitt is going to look very different in the 2024 season, especially on the offensive side of the ball with new offensive coordinator Kade Bell and a brand new offensive staff, but there are still things to figure out. Who’s playing where and how much? That will continue to be determined throughout the summer.

The season opener against Kent State on Aug. 31 is inching closer and closer by the practice, and Narduzzi knows he cannot afford a slow start.

Mumpfield being one I was expecting a player similar to Addison the way he was talked up last year. Remember how hyped the media was about Phil? I rest my case. I don’t think we’ll be as bad as last year I mean that’s nearly impossible but we lost… Read more »
