UPDATE, 7 AM: Central Michigan center Dominic Serapiglia is on a shortlist for one of the most prestigious awards in college football.

Serapiglia — a 6-foot-1, 195-pound offensive lineman from Thomas Jefferson in Jefferson Hills, Pa. — was named to the William V. Campbell Trophy watchlist, which is given to the college football player with the best combination of academics, community service and on-field performance. It’s considered the Academic Heisman Trophy.
