The Pitt basketball staff is currently involved with at least eight recruits in the class of 2025, looking to convince them to commit to the Panthers’ program.
Those eight players — Pitt’s top targets in the class — have all narrowed their recruitments down to the point in which they are considering less than ten schools. The only problem is that some of them are still considering up to ten schools — which still feels pretty far from a closed recruitment.
Let’s take a look at the eight lists. Let us know in the comments below who you think Pitt has the best chance at landing.
Meleek Thomas, Amari Evans, Isaiah Denis, Omari Witherspoon, Derek Dixon, CJ Ingram, Nikola Bundalo, and Davion Hannah all have Pitt in their final lists.
MELEEK THOMAS – TOP SEVEN
Thomas cut his list to the following schools: UConn, Kansas, Alabama, Pitt, Auburn, Kansas State, and Arkansas. The Pittsburgh native and five-star prospect now plays for Overtime Elite.
AMARI EVANS – TOP TEN
Evans, the Pittsburgh native, is considering Pitt, Mississippi State, Georgetown, TCU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Villanova, Tennessee, Illinois, and Xavier. On3’s Joe Tipton also reported that Evans has scheduled four new official visits: Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU, and Xavier. He has already taken an official trip to Pitt.
ISAIAH DENIS – TOP TEN
Denis included the Panthers in his top-ten schools’ list, along with the following teams: North Carolina, Kansas, Ohio State, Miami, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Cincinnati, and Michigan. Denis will take an official visit to Pitt on Aug. 30.
