The WPIAL’s leader in terms of scholarship offers is now off the board.
Tyler Robbins, a 6-foot-10 forward out of Upper St. Clair, committed to Miami (OH) on Tuesday, just days after visiting Oxford to check out the campus, the staff, and the program’s facilities.
“I visited this weekend and I just felt like it was a great fit, Robbins said on The Pittsburgh Basketball Show shortly after his commitment. “I really like the school, the coaches are all great, and the players are great, too… The feel of the campus, it just felt like it was right. With the players, they were great, the coaches, they were obviously outstanding and it just felt like it was the place to be.”
Robbins held offers from Duquesne, Robert Morris, Loyola (MD), Saint Francis, and many more before committing on Tuesday, and led the WPIAL for most of the summer in offers. Now, we’ve got a new leader.
Ama Tening Sow out of Montour leads the area with five division one offers: Washington, UT Martin, Duquesne, Pepperdine, and Fordham. Behind Sow is Josh Pratt out of Aliquippa’s 2026 group. Pratt, a 6-foot-2 guard, holds offers from Robert Morris, Northeastern, Pepperdine, and Hofstra. Next up is RJ Sledge, a 2025 5-foot-10 guard out of Imani Christian. Sledge holds offers from Fordham, Canisius, North Carolina A&T, and Bethune Cookman.
The area has four more players that have reported division one offers: Trey Schachter (Green Bay and UC Santa Barbara), Amere Brown (Bryant), Scoop Smith (Stony Brook), and Mikey Santicola (Mercyhurst). Rowan Carmichael also holds an offer from Edinboro.
