PITTSBURGH — It wasn’t unbearably hot Thursday morning, which is perhaps a first this summer, as Pitt took the field at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

Pitt was off Wednesday, so as the players took some time off and went to the movies, the coaching staff poured over film. Pat Narduzzi said that while he likes what he saw on tape, he knows the Panthers still have a long way to go before the season opener against Kent State on Aug. 31.

Practice was a lively affair as Narduzzi and the coaching staff got involved in drills.
