PITTSBURGH — A handful of players have mentioned this summer how the energy brought by the new, younger coaching staff has been infectious.
That energy has been felt through the first week of fall camp, and it was certainly felt Thursday morning at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. Pt Narduzzi, Tim Daoust and the entire coaching staff were involved in the action.
Narduzzi himself was part of a gauntlet the running backs and receivers faced when catching passes and taking off upfield during a drill available to the media.
Narduzzi said that while he liked what he saw on film from the first padded practice, he knows there’s still a long way to go in the buildup to the Week 1 matchup against Kent State on Aug. 31. There are position battles all over the roster, and the work put in this summer will go a long way in deciding those.
By the time camp ends, the Pitt roster will make Narduzzi’s decision for him.
