The ACC is still leading the charge in terms of medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Out of all NCAA conferences, the Atlantic Coast Conference, led by Stanford and other schools, led the way through Saturday’s action with 61 medals (22 of which are gold).

On Saturday, the following medals were earned by former or current ACC athletes.

Virginia field hockey player Pien Dicke competed for the Dutch Field Hockey team and won a gold medal in the competition.

In addition, Erik Shoji, representing the Stanford athletic department, won a bronze medal with Team USA’s men’s volleyball team.

NC State freshman David Betlehem won a bronze medal on Saturday in the men’s 10 KM swimming competition. That medal was the fourth won by an athlete representing the Wolfpack swimming team in this year’s Olympics.

In other Olympic news, former Stanford star swimmer Katie Ledecky will be the closing ceremony flag bearer for Team USA when the games conclude on Sunday.
