The NCAA released an updated Olympic medal tracker following the 2024 Paris Olympics.

That tracker showed the different schools that were represented in Paris. Pitt had three athletes and one coach representing the University, however, none came home with a medal.

Twitter user RedditCFB reported that Pitt was one of 14 Power Five schools to not earn a single medal.

Fellow ACC schools Boston College, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Louisville, and SMU also did not bring home a medal. Pitt rival West Virginia did not have any athletes earn a medal either.

Deb Adiodun – Women’s Soccer – Nigeria

Adiodun competed for the Nigerian Women’s National Team in soccer. Her team fell to Japan, 3-1, in its final game in the Olympics. The Super Falcons finished 0-3, scoring one goal and surrendering five.

Randy Waldrum (Coach) – Women’s Soccer – Nigeria

Waldrum is heading into his seventh season as the Pitt soccer head coach, and over the past few weeks, he led the Nigerian women’s team in the Olympic games.

Marcedes Walker – 3-on-3 Women’s Basketball – Azerbaijan

Walker earned All-Big East honors in all four seasons at Pitt, playing from 2005-08. Walker’s team took down Team USA, but did not qualify for a medal in the 3-on-3 women’s basketball competition.

There were two athletes from Western Pennsylvania who took home medals in the Olympics — Spencer Lee (Silver – Wrestling) and Michael Grady (Gold – Rowing).
