PITTSBURGH — Pitt hit the field Tuesday morning for practice No. 11, and after a scrimmage Saturday morning and a practice under the lights Sunday night, it was a lighter affair.
“We got 141 offensive snaps/defensive snaps in the scrimmage,” Pat Narduzzi said before practice. “It was physical, it was aggressive; we had 24 special teams snaps. Defense won the scrimmage, I’d say pretty handily, they got after it and I would say the key is the emotion and energy going into that first scrimmage you better have it. Defense had it, offense didn’t have as much.”
The offense rebounded well Sunday night, but the defense wore the blue jerseys on Tuesday.
