UPDATE, 7 AM: Former Pitt quarterback Nathan Peterman received another opportunity to continue his NFL career Tuesday afternoon.
Peterman signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, returning to where he has spent four seasons in his NFL career — two seasons in Oakland and two seasons in Las Vegas. He’s entering his eighth NFL season, having spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Raiders.
In two seasons at Pitt, he threw for 5,142 yards and 47 touchdowns, playing in 26 games between 2015-16.
What a career he’s had. 8 years. Good for him.
