UPDATE, 7 AM: Dane Jackson was carted off the field during practice Wednesday, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. Jackson reportedly suffered a hamstring injury.
Jackson, who signed a 2-year, $14.5 million deal with the Carolina Panthers earlier this year, is being further evaluated.
Jackson recorded 39 tackles (34 solo), five pass breakups and a forced fumble in 15 games with the Buffalo Bills last season. In four seasons in Buffalo, he recorded 152 tackles (129 solo), three interceptions, 28 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a recovery.
