Pitt’s 2024 schedule is coming together.
On Thursday, national basketball insider Rocco Miller reported that Pitt will host Murray State out of the Missouri Valley Conference in a game on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Petersen Events Center.
Murray State returns two of its top four scorers from a season ago, with Nick Ellington, and Jacobi Wood coming back. The Racers, led by third-year (second stint) head coach Steve Prohm, are heading into the third season in the Missouri Valley Conference. Last year, they finished the season 12-20 overall and 9-11 in league play.
The Racers’ staff did a nice job in the transfer portal this offseason, bringing in talent from all levels of college basketball. The staff added Kylen Milton, a veteran guard out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff. In addition, the staff brought in Terence Harcum out of Appalachian State. Next, Murray State added A.J. Ferguson out of Southern Illinois. Lastly, Kyeron Lindsay, a Texas Tech transfer, joined the team. Milton is a four-star transfer on The Portal Report, while Harcum and Ferguson are three stars and Lindsay is a two star.
