WATCH: Former Pitt QB Tyler Palko Talks Panthers Football

PITTSBURGH — Former Pitt quarterback Tyler Palko is the keynote speaker at the 2024 Kickoff Luncheon, and he spoke to the media before his big speech Friday afternoon.

Palko — who went to West Allegheny in Imperial, Pa. before committing to Pitt as one of the best quarterbacks in the class of 2002 — talked about being back in Pittsburgh, his time with the Panthers and what he’s seen from Pat Narduzzi and the program.

Palko started three seasons at Pitt from 2004-06, completing 645-of-1,075 pass attempts for 8,343 yards with 66 touchdowns and 25 interceptions — adding 12 more rushing touchdowns. He is top five in program history in career passing yards and pass touchdowns.

Palko went undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft but spent time with Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs (and New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals practice squad), along with the California Redwoods in the UFL and the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL.

Palko now works for Solutions 21 as the Chief Revenue Officer, which brings him back to Pittsburgh every month for work.
