On Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski announced that Cooper Flagg has signed a shoe endorsement deal with New Balance.

Cooper Flagg is one of the most highly-anticipated freshmen in recent college basketball memory, and perhaps ever.

The No. 1 high-school prospect is currently preparing for his first season of college hoops with the Duke Blue Devils, and he has played against the best players in the world already, signed numerous big endorsement deals, and undoubtedly is one of the biggest names in the sport right now.

On Monday, some more big news regarding Flagg dropped. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski  announced that Flagg has signed an endorsement deal with New Balance, a company with a manufacturing factory nearby Flagg’s hometown in Maine. Check out New Balance’s video announcing the sponsorship below.

Earlier this summer, Flagg competed alongside Team USA’s select team against the stars of the Gold-medal winning Team USA Olympic squad. He shined in the practices/scrimmages against the best of the best, earning attention from just about everyone in the basketball world.

Flagg, the number one overall player in 247 Sports’ 2025 rankings, has a perfect “100” rating on the popular rankings site. The 6-foot-9, 205-pound prospect plays for the basketball powerhouse Montverde Academy. He chose the Blue Devils over UConn, which he visited last September.

Flagg is from Newport, Maine, and has since showcased his talent all over the country since moving to Florida to play for Montverde. He now joins a new-look Duke roster that includes Caleb Foster, Tyrese Proctor, and newcomers Maliq Brown, Mason Gillis, Sion James, and others.

Duke hasn’t landed 247Sports’ number one overall recruit since 2018, when it reeled in RJ Barrett. That class also included Cam Reddish and Zion Williamson. In addition to Flagg, Scheyer also brought in 2025 five stars Khaman Maluach (7-foot-1 center), Isaiah Evans (6-foot-6 wing), and Kon Knueppel (6-foot-5 wing).
