UPDATE, 7 AM: A couple of former WPIAL standouts have been named starters in Week 1 depth charts.
Former Perry defensive lineman Tyreese Fearby is listed as the co-starter at defensive end on the initial Kentucky two-deep depth chart, slotted in alongside fellow edge Alex Afari Jr. Fearby has played sparingly during his two seasons at Kentucky but stepped into a more prominent role last season, recording six tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup in a reserve role.
Former Clairton offensive lineman Da’Metrius Weatherspoon is listed as the starting left tackle in the initial Syracuse two-deep depth chart. The Howard transfer received interest from Pitt before he locked in with the Orange during the offseason. He was an HBCU All-American last season.
