PITTSBURGH — Pitt football is just days away from it’s season opener against Kent State on Aug. 31 and the country will get its first taste of the new offense established by offensive coordinator Kade Bell.
On Wednesday, Bell took the podium to detail Pitt’s offense from the quarterback situation to the comfortability in the new system.
Pitt will enter the season opener with Nate Yarnell and Eli Holstein at the quarterback position splitting snaps. Bell shared his sentiments on how both signal callers are effective and have built a competitive edge.
Bell further discussed the skill positions and captains Konata Mumpfield, Gavin Bartholomew, along with other key pieces of the offense in running backs Desmond Reid, Derrick Davis Jr., Kenny Johnson and more.
I really think Bell was a great hire. One day he’ll be a power 4 head coach no doubt in my mind let’s just hope Flinstone doesn’t get in his way. This offense could be exciting if it’s allowed to operate as Bell intends to run it.
You could be right. I just don’t know if that’s the case but Bell played it off well. We’ll see. I like both guys. Knowing Fred I expect he’ll prefer not to put much on tape against Kent State I think that’s a prehistoric thought process but if I’m wrong I’ll admit it.

Narduzzi will watch he doesn’t tend to get involved in the offense.
Bell most likely made the QB call and not Narduzzi so give the Flintstone BS a rest.
