This weekend, guard Isaiah Denis will be in town for an official visit at Pitt. However, Denis won’t be the only one in town over the next few days.
2025 prospect Omari Witherspoon has scheduled an official visit to Pitt for Sept. 1-2, per Houston Wilson and his Rivals account.
Witherspoon is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Washington D.C. St. John’s College Prep. He plays for D.C. Premier in the summer, and has been one of the biggest stock risers of the summer across all levels of travel basketball. Witherspoon previously held offers from many different division one programs, including Pitt, Clemson, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Duquesne, and others, before trimming his list down to ten programs: Pitt, Clemson, Butler, George Mason, Vanderbilt, Maryland, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.
Witherspoon plans to take the following official visits, according to several reports.
Aug. 30: West Virginia
Sept. 1: Pitt
Sept. 6: Virginia Tech
Sept. 13: Butler
Sept. 20: Vanderbilt
Sept. 27: James Madison
Oct. 18: Maryland
James Madison did not make his top-ten list.

Witherspoon is among the top targets for Pitt at the guard spot in the 2025 class. Check out the 2025 Pitt basketball recruiting board to see when Pitt’s other top prospects will be on campus.
Denis has been on Pitt’s radar since this spring.
“I first was talking to Coach Milan [Brown],” Denis told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “He reached out to me after the live period in Indianapolis for [Nike EYBL] session three. We just started to build that relationship since then, and he told me that they really like my game.”
“He [Brown] can see me coming in for the 2025 class kind of in that Carlton Carrington role,” Denis said. “They felt like I had some similarities to his game. They thought I would be a good piece to come in and kind of fill that type of role that he had.”
