UPDATE, 11 AM: The Houston Texans signed former Pitt defensive standout Rashad Weaver to their practice squad.

He spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans, earning 49 tackles and two forced fumbles while on the team.

UPDATE, 7 AM: Pitt knocked off Kent State, 55-24, in a season-opening win Saturday afternoon.

It wasn’t a perfect performance, but the Panthers — led by Eli Holstein and the offense — did enough to score the most points in a couple of seasons. So, check out some of the photos from the win.
