UPDATE, 10 AM:Β More on Desmond Reid. According to The Portal Report, Reid’s performance ranks him as the No. 5 overall transfer running back in week one.

UPDATE, 7 AM: Desmond Reid, through Week 1 of college football, is third in the country in all-purpose yardage.

Reid — a 5-foot-8, 175-pound running back — was impressive in his Pitt debut. He carried the ball 14 times for 145 yards (10.4 yards per carry) and a touchdown, returned a lone punt return 78 yards for a touchdown and caught three passes for 11 yards. His 234 all-purpose yards trail only Arizona wideout Tetairoa McMillan and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Reid will have a chance to rack up more yards this week against Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati.
